WASHINGTON – Today, Congressman Bill Cassidy, M.D. commented on the report by the Congressional Budget Office that says the President’s health care law will reduce the full-time work force by 2.5 million jobs and contribute to a $1 trillion increase in projected deficits over the next ten years.  Dr. Cassidy released the following statement:

“The report by the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office is concerning news for Louisiana families.  The President’s health care law is now expected to increase our deficit by $1 trillion while causing Americans to lose 2.5 million full-time jobs.  The administration’s initial enrollment projections were also flawed; 2 million fewer people will be insured than previously estimated.  That’s why this law should be replaced with policies which provide coverage while increasing the number of jobs.”
